Premier events are the highest level of competition for Fantasy Flight Games tournaments, and all players, judges, and tournament organizers involved are held to the highest levels of conduct. Players are assumed to be familiar with the game’s rules, as well as the latest FAQ and tournament rules, and should expect all rules to be strictly enforced. Regional Championships, National Championships, and World Championships are premier events.

1. All models and cards released until October 16th are eligible to be played.
2. Lists of 100 points.
3. FAQs and errata's published until the date of the event will be applicable at the tournament.
4. In round 1, teams will be paired randomly. After that the Swiss system will be used. Total Team Margin of Victory Score will be taken into consideration when determining rankings between teams that have the same points.
5. Each round will last for a total of 90 minutes. At the ETC, a round is divided into 15 minutes of pairings and 75 minutes of game time.
6. No proxies are allowed at the event. Team of 6 players. Each team must submit a list of squad for each player. Two lists from each faction. Players will use the same squad for the whole tournament. Each player must indicate the three obstacles in their squad list and deck damage you want to use; and will be the same throughout the tournament.

Unique named pilots and upgrades may only appear once in a team. Pilots have different versions depending on the faction to which they belong, also they count as unique. There can be no identical lists in a team’s roster. Each player must also specify which 3 obstacle he/she will use throughout the tournament in his squad list. Both asteroids and debris fields can be used for obstacles. Each player has to choose one damage deck for the whole tournament. If in doubt, please consult the organization before sending a wrong squad list.
We understand that to participate in a premier tournament players know the rules and know how to make their armies properly. To help players and facilitate the work of the organization, we recommend using the application for making squads and sending them: http://geordanr.github.io/xwing/

If a team sends a list that contains an error shall be punished with lost of initiative decision or points lost for the team, depending on the severity of the error or intent. The organization will contact the team to communicate and solve the error.

For round one, teams will be paired randomly. For rounds 2 to 4, teams will be paired using the Swiss Chess system (i.e. 1st on the leaderboard plays 2nd, 3rd plays 4th etc.), with the exception that rematches will be avoided. Total Team Margin of Victory Score will be taken into consideration when determining rankings between teams that have the same point.

The teams will be paired using the following system:
1. Team A and Team B simultaneously put up one of their 6 squads.
2. Team A puts up two squads to possibly face the one put up by Team B, Team B does the same.
3. Team A chooses one of the two squads put up by Team B to be played against the squad first put up by team A and determines that pairing, Team B does the same.
4. The squads that did not get chosen return to the team pool.
5. Team A and B simultaneously put up one if their 4 remaining squads
6. Team A puts up two squads against the one put up by Team B, Team B does the same.
7. Team A chooses one of the two squads put up by Team B to be played against the squad first put up by team A, Team B does the same.
8. The squad of Team A that did not get chosen by team B plays against the last squad remaining in the pool of Team B. The squad of Team B that did not get chosen by team B plays against the last squad remaining in the pool of Team A.
Once the pairings are done the players move to their tables and proceed with deployment.
